Academy of Shotokan Karate was created out of a strong passion, a shared vision and a ceaseless commitment to making learning easy and accessible. Since opening, we’ve had the opportunity to help countless students acquire foundational skills, develop new techniques and confidently move forward in their learning journey.
We are a traditional Japanese Karate School in the Columbia and Lexington area of South Carolina.
We are members of the Japan Karate Association-US and the American Amateur Karate Federation. These memberships are the assurance of quality and authenticity of traditional Japanese martial arts.
